Favorite Local Spot in Pittsburgh/Ligonier: Belvedere’s in Lawrenceville! My husband has a DJ Residency there (when it’s not shut down for COVID-19) so we are there every weekend. The staff is like our second family. We’ve laughed together, cried together and everything in between. I admire their general philosophy – “You Are Beautiful”. You’ll see that phrase throughout the building and it’s also the hand-stamp you receive once your ID is checked. There is also a zero-tolerance policy for any type of harassment or violence making it a safe space for any and every one.
Favorite Annual Event in or around Pittsburgh/Ligonier: Three Rivers Arts Festival! It’s usually in early June so the weather is warm and there’s plenty of food & music. I love walking around looking at all the beautiful things people have created. My mother is an artist so we grew up going to Art Shows making T.R.A.F. extremely nostalgic for me.
Name and breed of pet: Meemee. She’s a tri-colored Tabby cat. I’ve never been a cat person until I found her abandoned outside 10 years ago; she’s been my sweet girl ever since.
